Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scandars, you agree to these Terms of Service and the accompanying Privacy Policy.

Do not use the service when you do not agree to these terms or do not have the legal authority to accept them.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with applicable laws, agreements and authorization requirements.
Section 02

Service Description

Scandars provides automated website security assessment tools that review publicly accessible technical information and website responses.

Depending on the selected scan type, the service may review:

  • Public DNS and domain configuration.
  • HTTPS and TLS certificate information.
  • Email-security records such as SPF and DMARC.
  • Browser security headers and policies.
  • Public cookies, cache controls and server responses.
  • Controlled public exposure paths.
  • Website and server technology fingerprints.

The service may offer free scans, paid premium scans, downloadable reports, account history and administrative tools.

Section 03

Scanning Authorization

You may submit a website for scanning only when at least one of the following is true:

  • You own or control the website.
  • The website owner has authorized you to conduct the assessment.
  • You are otherwise legally permitted to perform the requested checks.
Submitting a website confirms that you have permission to assess it. Do not use the service to target systems without authorization.

You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any consent required from the website owner, hosting provider, client or other responsible party.

Section 04

Prohibited Use

You must not use the service to:

  • Assess websites without permission.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any account, system or data.
  • Facilitate malware, phishing, fraud, extortion or other harmful activity.
  • Evade access controls or security protections.
  • Cause unreasonable load, disruption or denial of service.
  • Abuse automated requests, rate limits or payment systems.
  • Reverse engineer, reproduce or resell the service without permission.
  • Misrepresent an automated report as a certification or formal penetration test.
Section 05

User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you have reported unauthorized access to us.

  • Do not share passwords unnecessarily.
  • Use a strong, unique password.
  • Notify us when you believe your account has been compromised.
  • Keep your email address current.
Section 06

Payments and Premium Scans

Premium scans are offered as one-time purchases unless the checkout page expressly states otherwise.

A successful premium payment unlocks the premium scan entitlement shown during checkout.

Successful Scan
The payment is considered used when the related premium assessment completes successfully.
Failed Attempt
A failed scan attempt may be retried using the same payment record, subject to service rules.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Prices, currency and included services are displayed before checkout.

Refund requests may be reviewed based on the payment status, whether the premium scan was consumed and the circumstances of the request.

Section 07

Reports and Results

Scan reports describe technical conditions observed at the time of the assessment. Website configuration may change after a scan has completed.

Findings may include passed, warning, failed, informational or inconclusive results.

You must review technical evidence and validate important findings before applying changes to a production website.

You may use reports for your own website, authorized client work and internal security improvement. You may not alter a report to misrepresent its source, date, scope or result.

Section 08

Service Availability

We may update, limit, suspend or discontinue part of the service for maintenance, security, operational or legal reasons.

Scan completion can be affected by:

  • Website downtime or slow responses.
  • Firewalls, bot protection or rate limiting.
  • DNS and network failures.
  • Invalid certificates or redirect loops.
  • Third-party service interruptions.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every website can be assessed.

Section 09

Security Disclaimer

Scandars is an automated external security assessment service. It is not a guarantee that a website is secure.

The service is not a substitute for secure software development, patch management, access control, backups, monitoring or professional manual security testing.

Reports are not:

  • Formal penetration-test certification.
  • Legal or regulatory compliance certification.
  • A warranty that no vulnerability exists.
  • A guarantee against intrusion, loss or downtime.
Section 10

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without guarantees regarding uninterrupted availability, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized scanning, incorrect use of findings, website modifications, third- party systems or failure to obtain required permission.

You remain responsible for validating recommendations and maintaining appropriate backups before changing production infrastructure.

Section 11

Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account is involved in unauthorized scanning, fraud, abuse, security threats or violation of these terms.

We may preserve records required to investigate abuse, process payments, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.

Section 12

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when the service, payment process, security practices or legal requirements change.

The updated date displayed on this page identifies the most recent version. Continued use after an update means that the revised terms apply to future use.
